Today's picture is from the course I ran on Digital Photography for people with compact cameras. I love the fact that this lady had written on her hand the three tasks I had asked the group to do during the practical session - Garden (using rule of thirds) - Person (relaxed poses) - Object (close up). I also think it's typical that, having told everyone to set their camera ISO to 200 rather than AUTO for general outdoor pictures, I had accidentally left mine on ISO 1600, hence the grainy appearance of this photo! Talk about "practise what you preach!".
This was taken with my Panasonic DMC-FS12. I've been trying to stick to Canon 5d and 50mm f/1.8 lens this month, or failing that, my phone. But as today's course was for compact cameras that what I had with me.
