My other office

I love working for myself and working from home - most of the time. But sometimes I miss the background noise of a busy office and the presence of others around me. I worked in an office environment for over twenty years (wish I hadn't worked that out - feeling old!) and I have to admit it was hard making the adjustment at first. It took at least a year for me to not feel guilty if I wasn't at my desk or out working 9 till 5 and although I don't miss the pressure, stress and company politics, I do miss chatting with colleagues and the occasional work's do.

Nowadays a coffee shop offers a change of scene and a decent coffee prepared by someone else. I feel a sense of kinship with other people obviously using a table in Costa as a hot desk. Despite the hustle and bustle and sometimes very loud chatter and gossip I find I can concentrate well and go back home feeling refreshed.

Today's 366 is a bit grainy as my phone camera sets its own ISO, but by supporting it on the table and focusing on the nearby notebook I got a steady shot and soft focus in the background.
