A cold snap

This wonderful piece of ice was formed on a blade of grass hanging over the pond in our garden and the icicles formed from water dripping from the fountain. I photographed it in situ for a while but wasn't happy with the composition as there were a lot of things cluttering the shot. As I tried to clear some of them the ice snapped off and I rested it on the table to show the kids later. It ended up being my favourite shot.
